The Taj, Tigers and Varanasi

Taj Mahal
Greeting all citizens of earth and the rest of you who might be on-line and browsing the Internet, reading this blog :) So, while ending the mission as a secret agent I cashed in and spent all the money travelling to see the Taj Mahal. Well not really, but we did arrive to Agra and saw the Taj, a magnificent construction, built by a dude out of love to honour his wife, who died after giving birth to his 14:th (!!!) child. Even though it is a really touristy place, it is one of those must see places in India. We sat down there for almost 4 hours in the afternoon to see how the mausoleum changed in colour while the sun began to set. Wow!!!

Tiger Safari
From Taj, we travelled to a few more places by bus and taxi. By the way, I managed to break a seat in the bus on one of those bumpy roads: The bus ran over a bump of some kind and when I landed after a ½ meter high "look mama I can fly" the seat broke. Arriving at Mogli Resorts in Banhawgar after 8 hours with taxi (that’s about 80 USD) we signed up for two day tiger safari, which means one round into the national park in the morning and one round in the evening (each round about 3 hours) - for 2 days. We where really lucky, one of the 27 tigers in the park decided to take a morning stroll just 20 metres from our jeep and I managed to get both pictures and video.. The rest of the rounds we did see tiger each time, but not by far as close as we did the first time.

Varanasi
Travelled up to Varanasi to take part (or just stand beside ;) of the holy rituals where they burn bodies and throw the aches (spelling?) into Ganges or "ganga" as the Indians would call it. Except from burning bodies which takes about 3 hours for a fully grown man, they don’t burn babies, pregnant women or holy men - in this case the simply attach a massive rock to the body and dump it into the river - I would like to think that the mafia plagiated this from here - "swimming with the fishes" so to say..

Tomorrow we are leaving India for Myanmar and from what I can understand; Internet is not so available, so you just have to wait to hear from me until I reach Thailand in beginning of April.
Keep cool (hard when it is almost 33 deg C now.. ;)
