Well, I knew it well before I took off - when in India, you gonna get sick! I must say I felt really good the first 10 days or so, then my stummach no longer wanted to keep the things I tried to eat (and that just plain food and nothing else - no bugs or so.. ;) The funny thing is that the "Maharadja´s revenge" came more in form of the "winter throw up sickness" (probably more common in Europe than in India, since there is very little winter here) *hmm* Anyway, after some days I started to feel better and can keep the food again.
The bad thing about this is that we were supposed to go on a desert camel safari and sleep under the stars in The Great Thar Desert, just out of Jaisalmer - had to skip it :( Did you know that Jaisalmer is so close to the Pakistan border, we can hear (and sometimes see) the Indian airforce-jetplanes patroling the airspace several times a day.
The second Holy
This Holy is not the shit, but actual a festival that occurs once a year for a few days when the Indian people get crazy (!) and throws colored powder and sprinkles water and throws waterballons on each other and everybody else that happens to get in the way. Yes, that happen to be us. I can assure you that allmost everyone Ive seen looks like they accidently set of some major fireworks inside a color shop and got out alive but with paint all over them self.. :) The holy festival culminates the 3 and 4 of March where bondfires are lit allover Rajhastan.
Stay under the radar and keep safe,
Kristian
PS: BIG congratulations to Karl, my brother whom I love and now the 9:th turns 30! *weee*
